The Words of Lemuel

2 What, my son? and what, O son of my womb? and what, O son of my vows? B MA BRI UMA BR BTNI UMA BR NDRI ב מה ברי ומה בר בטני ומה בר נדרי
3 Give not your strength unto women, nor your ways to that which destroys kings. G EL ThThN LNShIM ChILK UDRKIK LMChUTh MLKIN ג אל תתן לנשים חילך ודרכיך למחות מלכין
4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine: nor for princes to say: 'Where is strong drink?' D EL LMLKIM LMUEL EL LMLKIM ShThU IIN ULRUZNIM EU (EI) ShKR ד אל למלכים למואל אל למלכים שתו יין ולרוזנים או (אי) שכר

6 Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter in soul; U ThNU ShKR LEUBD UIIN LMRI NFSh ו תנו שכר לאובד ויין למרי נפש
7 Let him drink, and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more. {P} Z IShThA UIShKCh RIShU UOMLU LE IZKR OUD ז ישתה וישכח רישו ועמלו לא יזכר עוד
8 Open your mouth for the dumb, in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Ch FThCh FIK LELM EL DIN KL BNI ChLUF ח פתח פיך לאלם אל דין כל בני חלוף
9 Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. {P} T FThCh FIK ShFT TsDQ UDIN ONI UEBIUN ט פתח פיך שפט צדק ודין עני ואביון
10 A woman of valour who can find? for her price is far above rubies. I EShTh ChIL MI IMTsE URChQ MFNINIM MKRA י אשת חיל מי ימצא ורחק מפנינים מכרה
11 The heart of her husband does safely trust in her, and he has no lack of gain. IE BTCh BA LB BOLA UShLL LE IChSR יא בטח בה לב בעלה ושלל לא יחסר
12 She does him good and not evil all the days of her life. IB GMLThAU TUB ULE RO KL IMI ChIIA יב גמלתהו טוב ולא רע כל ימי חייה
13 She seeks wool and flax, and works willingly with her hands. IG DRShA TsMR UFShThIM UThOSh BChFTs KFIA יג דרשה צמר ופשתים ותעש בחפץ כפיה
14 She is like the merchant-ships; she brings her food from afar. ID AIThA KENIUTh SUChR MMRChQ ThBIE LChMA יד היתה כאניות סוחר ממרחק תביא לחמה
15 She rises also while it is yet night, and gives food to her household, and a portion to her maidens. TU UThQM BOUD LILA UThThN TRF LBIThA UChQ LNORThIA טו ותקם בעוד לילה ותתן טרף לביתה וחק לנערתיה
16 She considers a field, and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. TZ ZMMA ShDA UThQChAU MFRI KFIA NTO (NTOA) KRM טז זממה שדה ותקחהו מפרי כפיה נטע (נטעה) כרם
17 She puts her loins with strength, and makes strong her arms. IZ ChGRA BOUZ MThNIA UThEMTs ZRUOThIA יז חגרה בעוז מתניה ותאמץ זרועתיה
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good; her lamp goes not out by night. ICh TOMA KI TUB SChRA LE IKBA BLIL (BLILA) NRA יח טעמה כי טוב סחרה לא יכבה בליל (בלילה) נרה
19 She lays her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. IT IDIA ShLChA BKIShUR UKFIA ThMKU FLK יט ידיה שלחה בכישור וכפיה תמכו פלך
20 She stretches out her hand to the poor; yes, she reaches forth her hands to the needy. K KFA FRShA LONI UIDIA ShLChA LEBIUN כ כפה פרשה לעני וידיה שלחה לאביון
21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household; for all her household are clothed with scarlet. KE LE ThIRE LBIThA MShLG KI KL BIThA LBSh ShNIM כא לא תירא לביתה משלג כי כל ביתה לבש שנים
22 She makes for herself coverlets; her clothing is fine linen and purple. KB MRBDIM OShThA LA ShSh UERGMN LBUShA כב מרבדים עשתה לה שש וארגמן לבושה
23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. KG NUDO BShORIM BOLA BShBThU OM ZQNI ERTs כג נודע בשערים בעלה בשבתו עם זקני ארץ
24 She makes linen garments and sells them; and delivers girdles unto the merchant. KD SDIN OShThA UThMKR UChGUR NThNA LKNONI כד סדין עשתה ותמכר וחגור נתנה לכנעני
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs at the time to come. KA OZ UADR LBUShA UThShChQ LIUM EChRUN כה עז והדר לבושה ותשחק ליום אחרון
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; and the law of kindness is on her tongue. KU FIA FThChA BChKMA UThURTh ChSD OL LShUNA כו פיה פתחה בחכמה ותורת חסד על לשונה
27 She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. KZ TsUFIA AILKUTh (ALIKUTh) BIThA ULChM OTsLUTh LE ThEKL כז צופיה הילכות (הליכות) ביתה ולחם עצלות לא תאכל
28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: KCh QMU BNIA UIEShRUA BOLA UIALLA כח קמו בניה ויאשרוה בעלה ויהללה
