| 2 I will utterly consume all things from off the face of the earth, says IAUA. | B ESF ESF KL MOL FNI AEDMA NEM-IAUA | ב אסף אסף כל מעל פני האדמה נאם-יהוה | ||
| 3 I will consume man and beast, I will consume the flying creatures of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the face of the earth, says IAUA. | G ESF EDM UBAMA ESF OUF-AShMIM UDGI AIM UAMKShLUTh ETh-ARShOIM UAKRThI ETh-AEDM MOL FNI AEDMA NEM-IAUA | ג אסף אדם ובהמה אסף עוף-השמים ודגי הים והמכשלות את-הרשעים והכרתי את-האדם מעל פני האדמה נאם-יהוה | ||
| 4 I will stretch out My hand on Judah, and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the idolatrous priests with the priests; | D UNTIThI IDI OL-IAUDA UOL KL-IUShBI IRUShLM UAKRThI MN-AMQUM AZA ETh-ShER ABOL ETh-ShM AKMRIM OM-AKANIM | ד ונטיתי ידי על-יהודה ועל כל-יושבי ירושלם והכרתי מן-המקום הזה את-שאר הבעל את-שם הכמרים עם-הכהנים | ||
| 5 Them that worship the host of heaven on the housetops; and them that worship, that swear to IAUA and swear by Malcam; | A UETh-AMShThChUIM OL-AGGUTh LTsBE AShMIM UETh-AMShThChUIM ANShBOIM LIAUA UANShBOIM BMLKM | ה ואת-המשתחוים על-הגגות לצבא השמים ואת-המשתחוים הנשבעים ליהוה והנשבעים במלכם | ||
| 6 Them also that are turned back from following IAUA; and those that have not sought IAUA, nor inquired after Him. | U UETh-ANSUGIM MEChRI IAUA UEShR LE-BQShU ETh-IAUA ULE DRShAU | ו ואת-הנסוגים מאחרי יהוה ואשר לא-בקשו את-יהוה ולא דרשהו | ||
| 7 Hold your peace at the presence of the Lord IAUA; for the day of IAUA is at hand, for IAUA has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests. | Z AS MFNI EDNI IAUA KI QRUB IUM IAUA KI-AKIN IAUA ZBCh AQDISh QREIU | ז הס מפני אדני יהוה כי קרוב יום יהוה כי-הכין יהוה זבח הקדיש קראיו | ||
| 8 It shall come to pass in the day of IAUA's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel. | Ch UAIA BIUM ZBCh IAUA UFQDThI OL-AShRIM UOL-BNI AMLK UOL KL-ALBShIM MLBUSh NKRI | ח והיה ביום זבח יהוה ופקדתי על-השרים ועל-בני המלך ועל כל-הלבשים מלבוש נכרי | ||
| 9 In the same day also will I punish all those that leap over the threshold, that fill their master's house with violence and deceit. | T UFQDThI OL KL-ADULG OL-AMFThN BIUM AAUE AMMLEIM BITh EDNIAM ChMS UMRMA | ט ופקדתי על כל-הדולג על-המפתן ביום ההוא הממלאים בית אדניהם חמס ומרמה | ||
| 10 In that day, says IAUA, Hark! a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills. | I UAIA BIUM AAUE NEM-IAUA QUL TsOQA MShOR ADGIM UILLA MN-AMShNA UShBR GDUL MAGBOUTh | י והיה ביום ההוא נאם-יהוה קול צעקה משער הדגים ויללה מן-המשנה ושבר גדול מהגבעות | ||
| 11 Wail, you inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are undone; all they that were laden with silver are cut off. | IE AILILU IShBI AMKThSh KI NDMA KL-OM KNON NKRThU KL-NTILI KSF | יא הילילו ישבי המכתש כי נדמה כל-עם כנען נכרתו כל-נטילי כסף | ||
| 12 It shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps; and I will punish the men that are settled on their lees, that say in their heart: 'IAUA will not do good, neither will He do evil.' | IB UAIA BOTh AAIE EChFSh ETh-IRUShLM BNRUTh UFQDThI OL-AENShIM AQFEIM OL-ShMRIAM AEMRIM BLBBM LE-IITIB IAUA ULE IRO | יב והיה בעת ההיא אחפש את-ירושלם בנרות ופקדתי על-האנשים הקפאים על-שמריהם האמרים בלבבם לא-ייטיב יהוה ולא ירע | ||
| 13 Therefore their wealth shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation; yes, they shall build houses, but shall not inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine thereof. | IG UAIA ChILM LMShSA UBThIAM LShMMA UBNU BThIM ULE IShBU UNTOU KRMIM ULE IShThU ETh-IINM | יג והיה חילם למשסה ובתיהם לשממה ובנו בתים ולא ישבו ונטעו כרמים ולא ישתו את-יינם | ||
| 14 The great day of IAUA is near, it is near and hastes greatly, even the voice of the day of IAUA, wherein the mighty man cries bitterly. | ID QRUB IUM-IAUA AGDUL QRUB UMAR MED QUL IUM IAUA MR TsRCh ShM GBUR | יד קרוב יום-יהוה הגדול קרוב ומהר מאד קול יום יהוה מר צרח שם גבור | ||
| 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, | TU IUM OBRA AIUM AAUE IUM TsRA UMTsUQA IUM ShEA UMShUEA IUM ChShK UEFLA IUM ONN UORFL | טו יום עברה היום ההוא יום צרה ומצוקה יום שאה ומשואה יום חשך ואפלה יום ענן וערפל | ||
| 16 A day of the horn and alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high towers. | TZ IUM ShUFR UThRUOA OL AORIM ABTsRUTh UOL AFNUTh AGBAUTh | טז יום שופר ותרועה על הערים הבצרות ועל הפנות הגבהות | ||
| 17 I will bring distress on men, that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against IAUA; and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung. | IZ UATsRThI LEDM UALKU KOURIM KI LIAUA ChTEU UShFK DMM KOFR ULChMM KGLLIM | יז והצרתי לאדם והלכו כעורים כי ליהוה חטאו ושפך דמם כעפר ולחמם כגללים | ||
