The Seven Lamps | ||||
| 1 IAUA spoke to Moses, saying: | E UIDBR IAUA EL-MShA LEMR | א וידבר יהוה אל-משה לאמר | ||
| 2 'Speak to Aaron, and say to him: When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.' | B DBR EL-EARN UEMRTh ELIU BAOLThK ETh-ANRTh EL-MUL FNI AMNURA IEIRU ShBOTh ANRUTh | ב דבר אל-אהרן ואמרת אליו בהעלתך את-הנרת אל-מול פני המנורה יאירו שבעת הנרות | ||
| 3 Aaron did so: he lighted the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the candlestick, as IAUA commanded Moses. | G UIOSh KN EARN EL-MUL FNI AMNURA AOLA NRThIA KEShR TsUA IAUA ETh-MShA | ג ויעש כן אהרן אל-מול פני המנורה העלה נרתיה כאשר צוה יהוה את-משה | ||
| 4 This was the work of the candlestick, beaten work of gold; to the base thereof, and to the flowers thereof, it was beaten work; according to the pattern which IAUA had shown Moses, so he made the candlestick. | D UZA MOShA AMNRA MQShA ZAB OD-IRKA OD-FRChA MQShA AUE KMREA EShR AREA IAUA ETh-MShA KN OShA ETh-AMNRA | ד וזה מעשה המנרה מקשה זהב עד-ירכה עד-פרחה מקשה הוא כמראה אשר הראה יהוה את-משה כן עשה את-המנרה | ||
| 5 IAUA spoke to Moses, saying: | A UIDBR IAUA EL-MShA LEMR | ה וידבר יהוה אל-משה לאמר | ||
| 6 'Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them. | U QCh ETh-ALUIM MThUK BNI IShREL UTARTh EThM | ו קח את-הלוים מתוך בני ישראל וטהרת אתם | ||
| 7 Thus shall you do to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification on them, and let them cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves. | Z UKA-ThOShA LAM LTARM AZA OLIAM MI ChTETh UAOBIRU ThOR OL-KL-BShRM UKBSU BGDIAM UATARU | ז וכה-תעשה להם לטהרם הזה עליהם מי חטאת והעבירו תער על-כל-בשרם וכבסו בגדיהם והטהרו | ||
| 8 Then let them take a young bullock, and its meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shall you take for a sin-offering. | Ch ULQChU FR BN-BQR UMNChThU SLTh BLULA BShMN UFR-ShNI BN-BQR ThQCh LChTETh | ח ולקחו פר בן-בקר ומנחתו סלת בלולה בשמן ופר-שני בן-בקר תקח לחטאת | ||
| 9 You shall present the Levites before the tent of Holy Days; and you shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel. | T UAQRBTh ETh-ALUIM LFNI EAL MUOD UAQALTh ETh-KL-ODTh BNI IShREL | ט והקרבת את-הלוים לפני אהל מועד והקהלת את-כל-עדת בני ישראל | ||
| 10 You shall present the Levites before IAUA; and the children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites. | I UAQRBTh ETh-ALUIM LFNI IAUA USMKU BNI-IShREL ETh-IDIAM OL-ALUIM | י והקרבת את-הלוים לפני יהוה וסמכו בני-ישראל את-ידיהם על-הלוים | ||
| 11 Aaron shall offer the Levites before IAUA for a wave-offering from the children of Israel, that they may be to do the service of IAUA. | IE UANIF EARN ETh-ALUIM ThNUFA LFNI IAUA METh BNI IShREL UAIU LOBD ETh-OBDTh IAUA | יא והניף אהרן את-הלוים תנופה לפני יהוה מאת בני ישראל והיו לעבד את-עבדת יהוה | ||
| 12 The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bullocks; and offer you the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to IAUA, to make atonement for the Levites. | IB UALUIM ISMKU ETh-IDIAM OL RESh AFRIM UOShA ETh-AEChD ChTETh UETh-AEChD OLA LIAUA LKFR OL-ALUIM | יב והלוים יסמכו את-ידיהם על ראש הפרים ועשה את-האחד חטאת ואת-האחד עלה ליהוה לכפר על-הלוים | ||
| 13 You shall set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for a wave-offering to IAUA. | IG UAOMDTh ETh-ALUIM LFNI EARN ULFNI BNIU UANFTh EThM ThNUFA LIAUA | יג והעמדת את-הלוים לפני אהרן ולפני בניו והנפת אתם תנופה ליהוה | ||
| 14 Thus shall you separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be Mine. | ID UABDLTh ETh-ALUIM MThUK BNI IShREL UAIU LI ALUIM | יד והבדלת את-הלוים מתוך בני ישראל והיו לי הלוים | ||
| 15 After that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tent of Holy Days; and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for a wave-offering. | TU UEChRI-KN IBEU ALUIM LOBD ETh-EAL MUOD UTARTh EThM UANFTh EThM ThNUFA | טו ואחרי-כן יבאו הלוים לעבד את-אהל מועד וטהרת אתם והנפת אתם תנופה | ||
| 16 For they are wholly given to Me from among the children of Israel; instead of all that opens the womb, even the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them to Me. | TZ KI NThNIM NThNIM AMA LI MThUK BNI IShREL ThChTh FTRTh KL-RChM BKUR KL MBNI IShREL LQChThI EThM LI | טז כי נתנים נתנים המה לי מתוך בני ישראל תחת פטרת כל-רחם בכור כל מבני ישראל לקחתי אתם לי | ||
| 17 For all the first-born among the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself. | IZ KI LI KL-BKUR BBNI IShREL BEDM UBBAMA BIUM AKThI KL-BKUR BERTs MTsRIM AQDShThI EThM LI | יז כי לי כל-בכור בבני ישראל באדם ובבהמה ביום הכתי כל-בכור בארץ מצרים הקדשתי אתם לי | ||
| 18 I have taken the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel. | ICh UEQCh ETh-ALUIM ThChTh KL-BKUR BBNI IShREL | יח ואקח את-הלוים תחת כל-בכור בבני ישראל | ||
| 19 I have given the Levites--they are given to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tent of Holy Days, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, through the children of Israel coming nigh to the sanctuary.' | IT UEThNA ETh-ALUIM NThNIM LEARN ULBNIU MThUK BNI IShREL LOBD ETh-OBDTh BNI-IShREL BEAL MUOD ULKFR OL-BNI IShREL ULE IAIA BBNI IShREL NGF BGShTh BNI-IShREL EL-AQDSh | יט ואתנה את-הלוים נתנים לאהרן ולבניו מתוך בני ישראל לעבד את-עבדת בני-ישראל באהל מועד ולכפר על-בני ישראל ולא יהיה בבני ישראל נגף בגשת בני-ישראל אל-הקדש | ||
| 20 Thus did Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the Levites; according to all that IAUA commanded Moses touching the Levites, so did the children of Israel to them. | K UIOSh MShA UEARN UKL-ODTh BNI-IShREL LLUIM KKL EShR-TsUA IAUA ETh-MShA LLUIM KN-OShU LAM BNI IShREL | כ ויעש משה ואהרן וכל-עדת בני-ישראל ללוים ככל אשר-צוה יהוה את-משה ללוים כן-עשו להם בני ישראל | ||
| 21 The Levites purified themselves, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a sacred gift before IAUA; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them. | KE UIThChTEU ALUIM UIKBSU BGDIAM UINF EARN EThM ThNUFA LFNI IAUA UIKFR OLIAM EARN LTARM | כא ויתחטאו הלוים ויכבסו בגדיהם וינף אהרן אתם תנופה לפני יהוה ויכפר עליהם אהרן לטהרם | ||

| 24 'This is that which pertains to the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the service in the work of the tent of Holy Days; | KD ZETh EShR LLUIM MBN ChMSh UOShRIM ShNA UMOLA IBUE LTsBE TsBE BOBDTh EAL MUOD | כד זאת אשר ללוים מבן חמש ועשרים שנה ומעלה יבוא לצבא צבא בעבדת אהל מועד | ||
| 25 and from the age of fifty years they shall return from the service of the work, and shall serve no more; | KA UMBN ChMShIM ShNA IShUB MTsBE AOBDA ULE IOBD OUD | כה ומבן חמשים שנה ישוב מצבא העבדה ולא יעבד עוד | ||
| 26 but shall minister with their brethren in the tent of Holy Days, to keep the charge, but they shall do no manner of service. Thus shall you do to the Levites touching their charges.' | KU UShRTh ETh-EChIU BEAL MUOD LShMR MShMRTh UOBDA LE IOBD KKA ThOShA LLUIM BMShMRThM | כו ושרת את-אחיו באהל מועד לשמר משמרת ועבדה לא יעבד ככה תעשה ללוים במשמרתם | ||
