The People Confess Their Sin | ||

| 9 You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea; | T UThRE ETh ONI EBThINU BMTsRIM UETh ZOQThM ShMOTh OL IM SUF | ט ותרא את עני אבתינו במצרים ואת זעקתם שמעת על ים סוף |
| 10 and didst show signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land; for You knew that they dealt proudly against them; and didst get You a name, as it is this day. | I UThThN EThTh UMFThIM BFROA UBKL OBDIU UBKL OM ERTsU KI IDOTh KI AZIDU OLIAM UThOSh LK ShM KAIUM AZA | י ותתן אתת ומפתים בפרעה ובכל עבדיו ובכל עם ארצו כי ידעת כי הזידו עליהם ותעש לך שם כהיום הזה |

| 18 Yes, when they had made them a molten calf, and said: 'This is your God that brought you up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations; | ICh EF KI OShU LAM OGL MSKA UIEMRU ZA ELAIK EShR AOLK MMTsRIM UIOShU NETsUTh GDLUTh | יח אף כי עשו להם עגל מסכה ויאמרו זה אלהיך אשר העלך ממצרים ויעשו נאצות גדלות |

| 20 You gave also Your good spirit to instruct them, and withheld not Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst. | K URUChK ATUBA NThTh LAShKILM UMNK LE MNOTh MFIAM UMIM NThThA LAM LTsMEM | כ ורוחך הטובה נתת להשכילם ומנך לא מנעת מפיהם ומים נתתה להם לצמאם |
| 21 Yes, forty years didst You sustain them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. | KE UERBOIM ShNA KLKLThM BMDBR LE ChSRU ShLMThIAM LE BLU URGLIAM LE BTsQU | כא וארבעים שנה כלכלתם במדבר לא חסרו שלמתיהם לא בלו ורגליהם לא בצקו |

| 26 Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against You, and cast Your law behind their back, and slew Your prophets that did forewarn them to turn them back unto You, and they wrought great provocations. | KU UIMRU UIMRDU BK UIShLKU ETh ThURThK EChRI GUM UETh NBIEIK ARGU EShR AOIDU BM LAShIBM ELIK UIOShU NETsUTh GDULTh | כו וימרו וימרדו בך וישלכו את תורתך אחרי גום ואת נביאיך הרגו אשר העידו בם להשיבם אליך ויעשו נאצות גדולת |
