2 that Joshua called for all Israel, for their elders and for their heads, and for their judges and for their officers, and said to them: 'I am old and well stricken in years. 3 You have seen all that IAUA your God has done to all these nations because of you; for IAUA your God, He it is that has fought for you. G UEThM REIThM ETh KL-EShR OShA IAUA ELAIKM LKL-AGUIM AELA MFNIKM KI IAUA ELAIKM AUE ANLChM LKM ג ואתם ראיתם את כל-אשר עשה יהוה אלהיכם לכל-הגוים האלה מפניכם כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא הנלחם לכם
4 Behold, I have allotted to you for an inheritance, according to your tribes, these nations that remain, from the Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun. 5 IAUA your God, He shall thrust them out from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and you shall possess their land, as IAUA your God spoke to you. 6 Therefore be you very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that you turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; U UChZQThM MED LShMR ULOShUTh ETh KL-AKThUB BSFR ThURTh MShA LBLThI SUR-MMNU IMIN UShMEUL ו וחזקתם מאד לשמר ולעשות את כל-הכתוב בספר תורת משה לבלתי סור-ממנו ימין ושמאול
7 that you come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor worship them; Z LBLThI-BE BGUIM AELA ANShERIM AELA EThKM UBShM ELAIAM LE-ThZKIRU ULE ThShBIOU ULE ThOBDUM ULE ThShThChUU LAM ז לבלתי-בא בגוים האלה הנשארים האלה אתכם ובשם אלהיהם לא-תזכירו ולא תשביעו ולא תעבדום ולא תשתחוו להם
8 but cleave to IAUA your God, as you have done to this day; Ch KI EM-BIAUA ELAIKM ThDBQU KEShR OShIThM OD AIUM AZA ח כי אם-ביהוה אלהיכם תדבקו כאשר עשיתם עד היום הזה
9 wherefore IAUA has driven out from before you great nations and mighty; but as for you, no man has stood against you to this day. T UIURSh IAUA MFNIKM GUIM GDLIM UOTsUMIM UEThM LE-OMD EISh BFNIKM OD AIUM AZA ט ויורש יהוה מפניכם גוים גדלים ועצומים ואתם לא-עמד איש בפניכם עד היום הזה
10 One man of you has chased a thousand; for IAUA your God, He it is that fought for you, as He spoke to you. I EISh-EChD MKM IRDF-ELF KI IAUA ELAIKM AUE ANLChM LKM KEShR DBR LKM י איש-אחד מכם ירדף-אלף כי יהוה אלהיכם הוא הנלחם לכם כאשר דבר לכם
11 Take good heed therefore to yourselves, that you love IAUA your God. IE UNShMRThM MED LNFShThIKM LEABA ETh-IAUA ELAIKM יא ונשמרתם מאד לנפשתיכם לאהבה את-יהוה אלהיכם
12 Else if you do in any wise go back, and cleave to the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and make marriages with them, and go in to them, and they to you; IB KI EM-ShUB ThShUBU UDBQThM BIThR AGUIM AELA ANShERIM AELA EThKM UAThChThNThM BAM UBEThM BAM UAM BKM יב כי אם-שוב תשובו ודבקתם ביתר הגוים האלה הנשארים האלה אתכם והתחתנתם בהם ובאתם בהם והם בכם
13 know for a certainty that IAUA your God will no more drive these nations from out of your sight; but they shall be a snare and a trap to you, and a scourge in your sides, and pricks in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which IAUA your God has given you. 14 And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth; consider you therefore in all your heart and in all your soul, that not one thing has failed of all the good things which IAUA your God spoke concerning you; all are come to pass to you, not one thing has failed thereof. 15 It shall come to pass, that as all the good things are come on you of which IAUA your God spoke to you, so shall IAUA bring on you all the evil things, until He have destroyed you from off this good land which IAUA your God has given you. 16 When you transgress the covenant of IAUA your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them; then shall the anger of IAUA be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which He has given to you.'
