Job: What Can I Say? | ||||
1 Moreover IAUA answered Job, and said: | E UION IAUA ETh-EIUB UIEMR | א ויען יהוה את-איוב ויאמר | ||
2 Shall he that reproves contend with the Almighty? He that argues with God, let him answer it. | B ARB OM-ShDI ISUR MUKICh ELUA IONNA | ב הרב עם-שדי יסור מוכיח אלוה יעננה | ||
3 Then Job answered IAUA, and said: | G UION EIUB ETh-IAUA UIEMR | ג ויען איוב את-יהוה ויאמר | ||
4 Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer You? I lay my hand on my mouth. | D AN QLThI MA EShIBK IDI ShMThI LMU-FI | ד הן קלתי מה אשיבך ידי שמתי למו-פי | ||
5 Once have I spoken, but I will not answer again; yes, twice, but I will proceed no further. | A EChTh DBRThI ULE EONA UShThIM ULE EUSIF | ה אחת דברתי ולא אענה ושתים ולא אוסיף | ||
6 Then IAUA answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said: | U UION-IAUA ETh-EIUB MNSORA (MN SORA) UIEMR | ו ויען-יהוה את-איוב מנסערה (מן סערה) ויאמר | ||
7 Gird up your loins now like a man; I will demand of you, and declare you to Me. | Z EZR-NE KGBR ChLTsIK EShELK UAUDIONI | ז אזר-נא כגבר חלציך אשאלך והודיעני | ||
8 Will you even make void My judgment? Will you condemn Me, that you may be justified? | Ch AEF ThFR MShFTI ThRShIONI LMON ThTsDQ | ח האף תפר משפטי תרשיעני למען תצדק | ||
9 Or have you an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like Him? | T UEM-ZRUO KEL LK UBQUL KMAU ThROM | ט ואם-זרוע כאל לך ובקול כמהו תרעם | ||
10 Deck yourself now with majesty and excellency, and array yourself with glory and beauty. | I ODA NE GEUN UGBA UAUD UADR ThLBSh | י עדה נא גאון וגבה והוד והדר תלבש | ||
11 Cast abroad the rage of your wrath; and look on every one that is proud, and abase him. | IE AFTs OBRUTh EFK UREA KL-GEA UAShFILAU | יא הפץ עברות אפך וראה כל-גאה והשפילהו | ||
12 Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. | IB REA KL-GEA AKNIOAU UADK RShOIM ThChThM | יב ראה כל-גאה הכניעהו והדך רשעים תחתם | ||
13 Hide them in the dust together; bind their faces in the hidden place. | IG TMNM BOFR IChD FNIAM ChBSh BTMUN | יג טמנם בעפר יחד פניהם חבש בטמון | ||
14 Then will I also confess to you that your own right hand can save you. | ID UGM-ENI EUDK KI-ThUShO LK IMINK | יד וגם-אני אודך כי-תושע לך ימינך | ||
15 Behold now behemoth, which I made with you; he eats grass as an ox. | TU ANA-NE BAMUTh EShR-OShIThI OMK ChTsIR KBQR IEKL | טו הנה-נא בהמות אשר-עשיתי עמך חציר כבקר יאכל | ||
16 Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the stays of his body. | TZ ANA-NE KChU BMThNIU UEUNU BShRIRI BTNU | טז הנה-נא כחו במתניו ואונו בשרירי בטנו | ||
17 He strains his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are knit together. | IZ IChFTs ZNBU KMU-ERZ GIDI FChDU IShRGU | יז יחפץ זנבו כמו-ארז גידי פחדו ישרגו | ||
18 His bones are as pipes of brass; his gristles are like bars of iron. | ICh OTsMIU EFIQI NChShA GRMIU KMTIL BRZL | יח עצמיו אפיקי נחשה גרמיו כמטיל ברזל | ||
19 He is the beginning of the ways of God; He only that made him can make His sword to approach to him. | IT AUE REShITh DRKI-EL AOShU IGSh ChRBU | יט הוא ראשית דרכי-אל העשו יגש חרבו | ||
20 Surely the mountains bring him forth food, and all the beasts of the field play there. | K KI-BUL ARIM IShEU-LU UKL-ChITh AShDA IShChQU-ShM | כ כי-בול הרים ישאו-לו וכל-חית השדה ישחקו-שם | ||
21 He lays under the lotus-trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. | KE ThChTh-TsELIM IShKB BSThR QNA UBTsA | כא תחת-צאלים ישכב בסתר קנה ובצה | ||
22 The lotus-trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. | KB ISKAU TsELIM TsLLU ISBUAU ORBI-NChL | כב יסכהו צאלים צללו יסבוהו ערבי-נחל | ||
23 Behold, if a river overflow, he trembles not; he is confident, though the Jordan rush forth to his mouth. | KG AN IOShQ NAR LE IChFUZ IBTCh KI-IGICh IRDN EL-FIAU | כג הן יעשק נהר לא יחפוז יבטח כי-יגיח ירדן אל-פיהו | ||
24 Shall any take him by his eyes, or pierce through his nose with a snare? | KD BOINIU IQChNU BMUQShIM INQB-EF | כד בעיניו יקחנו במוקשים ינקב-אף | ||
25 Can you draw out leviathan with a fish-hook? or press down his tongue with a cord? | KA ThMShK LUIThN BChKA UBChBL ThShQIO LShNU | כה תמשך לויתן בחכה ובחבל תשקיע לשנו | ||
26 Can you put a ring into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a hook? | KU AThShIM EGMN BEFU UBChUCh ThQB LChIU | כו התשים אגמן באפו ובחוח תקב לחיו | ||
27 Will he make many supplications to you? or will he speak soft words to you? | KZ AIRBA ELIK ThChNUNIM EM-IDBR ELIK RKUTh | כז הירבה אליך תחנונים אם-ידבר אליך רכות | ||
28 Will he make a covenant with you, that you should take him for a servant for ever? | KCh AIKRTh BRITh OMK ThQChNU LOBD OULM | כח היכרת ברית עמך תקחנו לעבד עולם | ||
29 Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him for your maidens? | KT AThShChQ-BU KTsFUR UThQShRNU LNORUThIK | כט התשחק-בו כצפור ותקשרנו לנערותיך | ||
30 Will the bands of fishermen make a banquet of him? Will they part him among the merchants? | L IKRU OLIU ChBRIM IChTsUAU BIN KNONIM | ל יכרו עליו חברים יחצוהו בין כנענים | ||
31 Can you fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish-spears? | LE AThMLE BShKUTh OURU UBTsLTsL DGIM REShU | לא התמלא בשכות עורו ובצלצל דגים ראשו | ||
32 Lay your hand on him; think on the battle, you will do so no more. | LB ShIM-OLIU KFK ZKR MLChMA EL-ThUSF | לב שים-עליו כפך זכר מלחמה אל-תוסף |
