Elihu Says God Is Back of the Storm
1 At this also my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place. E EF-LZETh IChRD LBI UIThR MMQUMU א אף-לזאת יחרד לבי ויתר ממקומו
2 Hear attentively the noise of His voice, and the sound that goes out of His mouth. B ShMOU ShMUO BRGZ QLU UAGA MFIU ITsE ב שמעו שמוע ברגז קלו והגה מפיו יצא
3 He sends it forth under the whole heaven, and His lightning to the ends of the earth. G ThChTh-KL-AShMIM IShRAU UEURU OL-KNFUTh AERTs ג תחת-כל-השמים ישרהו ואורו על-כנפות הארץ
4 After it a voice roars; He thunders with the voice of His majesty; and He stays them not when His voice is heard. D EChRIU IShEG-QUL IROM BQUL GEUNU ULE IOQBM KI-IShMO QULU ד אחריו ישאג-קול ירעם בקול גאונו ולא יעקבם כי-ישמע קולו
5 God thunders marvellously with His voice; great things does He, which we cannot comprehend. A IROM EL BQULU NFLEUTh OShA GDLUTh ULE NDO ה ירעם אל בקולו נפלאות עשה גדלות ולא נדע
6 For He says to the snow: 'Fall you on the earth'; likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of His mighty rain. U KI LShLG IEMR AUE-ERTs UGShM MTR UGShM MTRUTh OZU ו כי לשלג יאמר הוא-ארץ וגשם מטר וגשם מטרות עזו
7 He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom He has made may know it. Z BID-KL-EDM IChThUM LDOTh KL-ENShI MOShAU ז ביד-כל-אדם יחתום לדעת כל-אנשי מעשהו
8 Then the beasts go into coverts, and remain in their dens. Ch UThBUE ChIA BMU-ERB UBMOUNThIA ThShKN ח ותבוא חיה במו-ארב ובמעונתיה תשכן
9 Out of the Chamber comes the storm; and cold out of the north. T MN-AChDR ThBUE SUFA UMMZRIM QRA ט מן-החדר תבוא סופה וממזרים קרה
10 By the breath of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is straitened. I MNShMTh-EL IThN-QRCh URChB MIM BMUTsQ י מנשמת-אל יתן-קרח ורחב מים במוצק
11 Yes, He lades the thick cloud with moister, He spreads abroad the cloud of His lightning; IE EF-BRI ITRICh OB IFITs ONN EURU יא אף-ברי יטריח עב יפיץ ענן אורו
12 They are turned round about by His guidance, that they may do whatsoever He commands them on the face of the habitable world: IB UAUE MSBUTh MThAFK BThChBULThU LFOLM KL EShR ITsUM OL-FNI ThBL ERTsA יב והוא מסבות מתהפך בתחבולתו לפעלם כל אשר יצום על-פני תבל ארצה
13 Whether it be for correction, or for His earth, or for mercy, that He cause it to come. IG EM-LShBT EM-LERTsU EM-LChSD IMTsEAU יג אם-לשבט אם-לארצו אם-לחסד ימצאהו
14 Hearken to this, O Job; stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. ID AEZINA ZETh EIUB OMD UAThBUNN NFLEUTh EL יד האזינה זאת איוב עמד והתבונן נפלאות אל
15 Dost you know how God enjoins them, and causes the lightning of His cloud to shine? TU AThDO BShUM-ELUA OLIAM UAFIO EUR ONNU טו התדע בשום-אלוה עליהם והפיע אור עננו
16 Dost you know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of Him who is perfect in knowledge? TZ AThDO OL-MFLShI-OB MFLEUTh ThMIM DOIM טז התדע על-מפלשי-עב מפלאות תמים דעים
17 You whose garments are warm, when the earth is still by reason of the south wind; IZ EShR-BGDIK ChMIM BAShQT ERTs MDRUM יז אשר-בגדיך חמים בהשקט ארץ מדרום
18 Can you with Him spread out the sky, which is strong as a molten mirror? ICh ThRQIO OMU LShChQIM ChZQIM KREI MUTsQ יח תרקיע עמו לשחקים חזקים כראי מוצק
19 Teach us what we shall say to Him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness. IT AUDIONU MA-NEMR LU LE-NORK MFNI-ChShK יט הודיענו מה-נאמר לו לא-נערך מפני-חשך
20 Shall it be told Him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up? K AISFR-LU KI EDBR EM-EMR EISh KI IBLO כ היספר-לו כי אדבר אם-אמר איש כי יבלע
21 Now men see not the light which is bright in the skies; but the wind passes, and cleanses them. KE UOThA LE REU EUR BAIR AUE BShChQIM URUCh OBRA UThTARM כא ועתה לא ראו אור בהיר הוא בשחקים ורוח עברה ותטהרם
22 Out of the north comes golden splendour, about God is terrible majesty. KB MTsFUN ZAB IEThA OL-ELUA NURE AUD כב מצפון זהב יאתה על-אלוה נורא הוד
23 The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, is excellent in power, yet to judgment and plenteous justice He does no violence. KG ShDI LE-MTsENAU ShGIE-KCh UMShFT URB-TsDQA LE IONA כג שדי לא-מצאנהו שגיא-כח ומשפט ורב-צדקה לא יענה
