Job Chides His Accusers
1 Then Job answered and said: E UION EIUB UIEMR א ויען איוב ויאמר
2 No doubt but you are the people, and wisdom shall die with you. B EMNM KI EThM-OM UOMKM ThMUTh ChKMA ב אמנם כי אתם-עם ועמכם תמות חכמה
3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you; yes, who knows not such things as these? G GM-LI LBB KMUKM LE-NFL ENKI MKM UETh-MI-EIN KMU-ELA ג גם-לי לבב כמוכם לא-נפל אנכי מכם ואת-מי-אין כמו-אלה
4 I am as one that is a laughing-stock to his neighbor, a man that called on God, and He answered him; the just, the innocent man is a laughing-stock, D ShChQ LROAU EAIA QRE LELUA UIONAU ShChUQ TsDIQ ThMIM ד שחק לרעהו אהיה קרא לאלוה ויענהו שחוק צדיק תמים
5 A contemptible brand in the thought of him that is at ease, a thing ready for them whose foot slips. A LFID BUZ LOShThUTh ShENN NKUN LMUODI RGL ה לפיד בוז לעשתות שאנן נכון למועדי רגל
6 The tents of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure, in whatsoever God brings into their hand. U IShLIU EALIM LShDDIM UBTChUTh LMRGIZI EL LEShR ABIE ELUA BIDU ו ישליו אהלים לשדדים ובטחות למרגיזי אל לאשר הביא אלוה בידו
7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach you; and the flying creatures of the heavens, and they shall tell you; Z UEULM ShEL-NE BAMUTh UThRK UOUF AShMIM UIGD-LK ז ואולם שאל-נא בהמות ותרך ועוף השמים ויגד-לך
8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you; and the fishes of the sea shall declare to you; Ch EU ShICh LERTs UThRK UISFRU LK DGI AIM ח או שיח לארץ ותרך ויספרו לך דגי הים
9 Who knows not among all these, that the hand of IAUA has wrought this? T MI LE-IDO BKL-ELA KI ID-IAUA OShThA ZETh ט מי לא-ידע בכל-אלה כי יד-יהוה עשתה זאת
10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.-- I EShR BIDU NFSh KL-ChI URUCh KL-BShR-EISh י אשר בידו נפש כל-חי ורוח כל-בשר-איש
11 Does not the ear try words, even as the palate tastes its food? IE ALE-EZN MLIN ThBChN UChK EKL ITOM-LU יא הלא-אזן מלין תבחן וחך אכל יטעם-לו
12 Is wisdom with aged men, and understanding in length of days?-- IB BIShIShIM ChKMA UERK IMIM ThBUNA יב בישישים חכמה וארך ימים תבונה
13 With Him is wisdom and might; He has counsel and understanding. IG OMU ChKMA UGBURA LU OTsA UThBUNA יג עמו חכמה וגבורה לו עצה ותבונה
14 Behold, He breaks down, and it cannot be built again; He shuts up a man, and there can be no opening. ID AN IARUS ULE IBNA ISGR OL-EISh ULE IFThCh יד הן יהרוס ולא יבנה יסגר על-איש ולא יפתח
15 Behold, He withholds the waters, and they dry up; also He sends them out, and they overturn the earth. TU AN IOTsR BMIM UIBShU UIShLChM UIAFKU ERTs טו הן יעצר במים ויבשו וישלחם ויהפכו ארץ
16 With Him is strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are His. TZ OMU OZ UThUShIA LU ShGG UMShGA טז עמו עז ותושיה לו שגג ומשגה
17 He leads counsellors away stripped, and judges makes He fools. IZ MULIK IUOTsIM ShULL UShFTIM IAULL יז מוליך יועצים שולל ושפטים יהולל
18 He looses the bond of kings, and binds their loins with a girdle. ICh MUSR MLKIM FThCh UIESR EZUR BMThNIAM יח מוסר מלכים פתח ויאסר אזור במתניהם
19 He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty. IT MULIK KANIM ShULL UEThNIM ISLF יט מוליך כהנים שולל ואתנים יסלף
20 He removes the speech of men of trust, and takes away the sense of the elders. K MSIR ShFA LNEMNIM UTOM ZQNIM IQCh כ מסיר שפה לנאמנים וטעם זקנים יקח
21 He pours contempt on princes, and looses the belt of the strong. KE ShUFK BUZ OL-NDIBIM UMZICh EFIQIM RFA כא שופך בוז על-נדיבים ומזיח אפיקים רפה
22 He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death. KB MGLA OMQUTh MNI-ChShK UITsE LEUR TsLMUTh כב מגלה עמקות מני-חשך ויצא לאור צלמות
23 He increases the nations, and destroys them; He enlarges the nations, and leads them away. KG MShGIE LGUIM UIEBDM ShTCh LGUIM UINChM כג משגיא לגוים ויאבדם שטח לגוים וינחם
24 He takes away the heart of the chiefs of the people of the land, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way. KD MSIR LB REShI OM-AERTs UIThOM BThAU LE-DRK כד מסיר לב ראשי עם-הארץ ויתעם בתהו לא-דרך
25 They grope in the dark without light, and He makes them to stagger like a drunken man. KA IMShShU-ChShK ULE-EUR UIThOM KShKUR כה ימששו-חשך ולא-אור ויתעם כשכור
