| 6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes; also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah. | U UIShChT MLK BBL ETh-BNI TsDQIAU BRBLA LOINIU UETh KL-ChRI IAUDA ShChT MLK BBL | ו וישחט מלך בבל את-בני צדקיהו ברבלה לעיניו ואת כל-חרי יהודה שחט מלך בבל | ||

| 8 The Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the house of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem. | Ch UETh-BITh AMLK UETh-BITh AOM ShRFU AKShDIM BESh UETh-ChMUTh IRUShLM NThTsU | ח ואת-בית המלך ואת-בית העם שרפו הכשדים באש ואת-חמות ירושלם נתצו | ||

| 10 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, that had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields in that day. | I UMN-AOM ADLIM EShR EIN-LAM MEUMA AShEIR NBUZREDN RB-TBChIM BERTs IAUDA UIThN LAM KRMIM UIGBIM BIUM AAUE | י ומן-העם הדלים אשר אין-להם מאומה השאיר נבוזראדן רב-טבחים בארץ יהודה ויתן להם כרמים ויגבים ביום ההוא | ||
| 11 Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying: | IE UITsU NBUKDRETsR MLK-BBL OL-IRMIAU BID NBUZREDN RB-TBChIM LEMR | יא ויצו נבוכדראצר מלך-בבל על-ירמיהו ביד נבוזראדן רב-טבחים לאמר | ||
| 12 'Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do to him even as he shall say to you.' | IB QChNU UOINIK ShIM OLIU UEL-ThOSh LU MEUMA RO KI EM ( ) KEShR IDBR ELIK KN OShA OMU | יב קחנו ועיניך שים עליו ואל-תעש לו מאומה רע כי אם ( ) כאשר ידבר אליך כן עשה עמו | ||
| 13 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushazban Rab-saris, and Nergal-sarezer Rab-mag, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon; | IG UIShLCh NBUZREDN RB-TBChIM UNBUShZBN RB-SRIS UNRGL ShRETsR RB-MG UKL RBI MLK-BBL | יג וישלח נבוזראדן רב-טבחים ונבושזבן רב-סריס ונרגל שראצר רב-מג וכל רבי מלך-בבל | ||

| 15 Now the word of IAUA came to Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying: | TU UEL-IRMIAU AIA DBR-IAUA BAIThU OTsUR BChTsR AMTRA LEMR | טו ואל-ירמיהו היה דבר-יהוה בהיתו עצור בחצר המטרה לאמר | ||
| 16 'Go, and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying: Thus says IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring My words on this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before you in that day. | TZ ALUK UEMRTh LOBD-MLK AKUShI LEMR KA-EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL ANNI MBI ETh-DBRI EL-AOIR AZETh LROA ULE LTUBA UAIU LFNIK BIUM AAUE | טז הלוך ואמרת לעבד-מלך הכושי לאמר כה-אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני מבי את-דברי אל-העיר הזאת לרעה ולא לטובה והיו לפניך ביום ההוא | ||
| 17 But I will deliver you in that day, says IAUA; and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. | IZ UATsLThIK BIUM-AAUE NEM-IAUA ULE ThNThN BID AENShIM EShR-EThA IGUR MFNIAM | יז והצלתיך ביום-ההוא נאם-יהוה ולא תנתן ביד האנשים אשר-אתה יגור מפניהם | ||
| 18 For I will surely deliver you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be for a prey to you; because you have put your trust in Me, says IAUA.' | ICh KI MLT EMLTK UBChRB LE ThFL UAIThA LK NFShK LShLL KI-BTChTh BI NEM-IAUA | יח כי מלט אמלטך ובחרב לא תפל והיתה לך נפשך לשלל כי-בטחת בי נאם-יהוה | ||
