| 2 You shall not take you a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters in this place. | B LE-ThQCh LK EShA ULE-IAIU LK BNIM UBNUTh BMQUM AZA | ב לא-תקח לך אשה ולא-יהיו לך בנים ובנות במקום הזה | ||
| 3 For thus says IAUA concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bore them, and concerning their fathers that begot them in this land: | G KI-KA EMR IAUA OL-ABNIM UOL-ABNUTh AILUDIM BMQUM AZA UOL-EMThM AILDUTh EUThM UOL-EBUThM AMULDIM EUThM BERTs AZETh | ג כי-כה אמר יהוה על-הבנים ועל-הבנות הילודים במקום הזה ועל-אמתם הילדות אותם ועל-אבותם המולדים אותם בארץ הזאת | ||
| 4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried, they shall be as dung on the face of the ground; and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be meat for the flying creatures of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. | D MMUThI ThChLEIM IMThU LE ISFDU ULE IQBRU LDMN OL-FNI AEDMA IAIU UBChRB UBROB IKLU UAIThA NBLThM LMEKL LOUF AShMIM ULBAMTh AERTs | ד ממותי תחלאים ימתו לא יספדו ולא יקברו לדמן על-פני האדמה יהיו ובחרב וברעב יכלו והיתה נבלתם למאכל לעוף השמים ולבהמת הארץ | ||
| 5 For thus says IAUA: Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people, says IAUA, even mercy and compassion. | A KI-KA EMR IAUA EL-ThBUE BITh MRZCh UEL-ThLK LSFUD UEL-ThND LAM KI-ESFThI ETh-ShLUMI METh AOM AZA NEM-IAUA ETh-AChSD UETh-ARChMIM | ה כי-כה אמר יהוה אל-תבוא בית מרזח ואל-תלך לספוד ואל-תנד להם כי-אספתי את-שלומי מאת העם הזה נאם-יהוה את-החסד ואת-הרחמים | ||
| 6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried; neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them; | U UMThU GDLIM UQTNIM BERTs AZETh LE IQBRU ULE-ISFDU LAM ULE IThGDD ULE IQRCh LAM | ו ומתו גדלים וקטנים בארץ הזאת לא יקברו ולא-יספדו להם ולא יתגדד ולא יקרח להם | ||
| 7 neither shall men break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother. | Z ULE-IFRSU LAM OL-EBL LNChMU OL-MTh ULE-IShQU EUThM KUS ThNChUMIM OL-EBIU UOL-EMU | ז ולא-יפרסו להם על-אבל לנחמו על-מת ולא-ישקו אותם כוס תנחומים על-אביו ועל-אמו | ||
| 8 You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink. | Ch UBITh-MShThA LE-ThBUE LShBTh EUThM LEKL ULShThUTh | ח ובית-משתה לא-תבוא לשבת אותם לאכל ולשתות | ||
| 9 For thus says IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride. | T KI KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL ANNI MShBITh MN-AMQUM AZA LOINIKM UBIMIKM QUL ShShUN UQUL ShMChA QUL ChThN UQUL KLA | ט כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל הנני משבית מן-המקום הזה לעיניכם ובימיכם קול ששון וקול שמחה קול חתן וקול כלה | ||
| 10 It shall come to pass, when you shall tell this people all these words, and they shall say to you: 'Wherefore has IAUA pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against IAUA our God?' | I UAIA KI ThGID LOM AZA ETh KL-ADBRIM AELA UEMRU ELIK OL-MA DBR IAUA OLINU ETh KL-AROA AGDULA AZETh UMA OUNNU UMA ChTEThNU EShR ChTENU LIAUA ELAINU | י והיה כי תגיד לעם הזה את כל-הדברים האלה ואמרו אליך על-מה דבר יהוה עלינו את כל-הרעה הגדולה הזאת ומה עוננו ומה חטאתנו אשר חטאנו ליהוה אלהינו | ||
| 11 then shall you say to them: 'Because your fathers have forsaken Me, says IAUA, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken Me, and have not kept My law; | IE UEMRTh ELIAM OL EShR-OZBU EBUThIKM EUThI NEM-IAUA UILKU EChRI ELAIM EChRIM UIOBDUM UIShThChUU LAM UEThI OZBU UETh-ThURThI LE ShMRU | יא ואמרת אליהם על אשר-עזבו אבותיכם אותי נאם-יהוה וילכו אחרי אלהים אחרים ויעבדום וישתחוו להם ואתי עזבו ואת-תורתי לא שמרו | ||
| 12 and you have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, you walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you hearken not to Me; | IB UEThM AROThM LOShUTh MEBUThIKM UANKM ALKIM EISh EChRI ShRRUTh LBU-ARO LBLThI ShMO ELI | יב ואתם הרעתם לעשות מאבותיכם והנכם הלכים איש אחרי שררות לבו-הרע לבלתי שמע אלי | ||
| 13 therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there shall you serve other gods day and night; forasmuch as I will show you no favour.' | IG UATLThI EThKM MOL AERTs AZETh OL-AERTs EShR LE IDOThM EThM UEBUThIKM UOBDThM-ShM ETh-ELAIM EChRIM IUMM ULILA EShR LE-EThN LKM ChNINA | יג והטלתי אתכם מעל הארץ הזאת על-הארץ אשר לא ידעתם אתם ואבותיכם ועבדתם-שם את-אלהים אחרים יומם ולילה אשר לא-אתן לכם חנינה | ||
| 14 Therefore, behold, the days come, says IAUA, that it shall no more be said: 'As IAUA lives, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt,' | ID LKN ANA-IMIM BEIM NEM-IAUA ULE-IEMR OUD ChI-IAUA EShR AOLA ETh-BNI IShREL MERTs MTsRIM | יד לכן הנה-ימים באים נאם-יהוה ולא-יאמר עוד חי-יהוה אשר העלה את-בני ישראל מארץ מצרים | ||
| 15 but: 'As IAUA lives, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries whither He had driven them'; and I will bring them back into their land that I gave to their fathers. | TU KI EM-ChI-IAUA EShR AOLA ETh-BNI IShREL MERTs TsFUN UMKL AERTsUTh EShR ADIChM ShMA UAShBThIM OL-EDMThM EShR NThThI LEBUThM | טו כי אם-חי-יהוה אשר העלה את-בני ישראל מארץ צפון ומכל הארצות אשר הדיחם שמה והשבתים על-אדמתם אשר נתתי לאבותם | ||
| 16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, says IAUA, and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks. | TZ ANNI ShLCh LDUGIM (LDIGIM) RBIM NEM-IAUA UDIGUM UEChRI-KN EShLCh LRBIM TsIDIM UTsDUM MOL KL-AR UMOL KL-GBOA UMNQIQI ASLOIM | טז הנני שלח לדוגים (לדיגים) רבים נאם-יהוה ודיגום ואחרי-כן אשלח לרבים צידים וצדום מעל כל-הר ומעל כל-גבעה ומנקיקי הסלעים | ||
| 17 For Mine eyes are on all their ways, they are not hid from My face; neither is their iniquity concealed from Mine eyes. | IZ KI OINI OL-KL-DRKIAM LE NSThRU MLFNI ULE-NTsFN OUNM MNGD OINI | יז כי עיני על-כל-דרכיהם לא נסתרו מלפני ולא-נצפן עונם מנגד עיני | ||
| 18 First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have profaned My land; they have filled Mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable things and their abominations. | ICh UShLMThI REShUNA MShNA OUNM UChTEThM OL ChLLM ETh-ERTsI BNBLTh ShQUTsIAM UThUOBUThIAM MLEU ETh-NChLThI | יח ושלמתי ראשונה משנה עונם וחטאתם על חללם את-ארצי בנבלת שקוציהם ותועבותיהם מלאו את-נחלתי | ||
| 19 O IAUA, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge, in the day of affliction, to You shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say: 'Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, vanity and things wherein there is no profit.' | IT IAUA OZI UMOZI UMNUSI BIUM TsRA ELIK GUIM IBEU MEFSI-ERTs UIEMRU EK-ShQR NChLU EBUThINU ABL UEIN-BM MUOIL | יט יהוה עזי ומעזי ומנוסי ביום צרה אליך גוים יבאו מאפסי-ארץ ויאמרו אך-שקר נחלו אבותינו הבל ואין-בם מועיל | ||
| 20 Shall a man make to himself gods, and they are no gods? | K AIOShA-LU EDM ELAIM UAMA LE ELAIM | כ היעשה-לו אדם אלהים והמה לא אלהים | ||
| 21 Therefore, behold, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know My hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is IAUA. | KE LKN ANNI MUDIOM BFOM AZETh EUDIOM ETh-IDI UETh-GBURThI UIDOU KI-ShMI IAUA | כא לכן הנני מודיעם בפעם הזאת אודיעם את-ידי ואת-גבורתי וידעו כי-שמי יהוה | ||
