3 Why dost You show me iniquity, and behold mischief? Why are spoiling and violence before me? so that there is strife, and contention arises. G LMA ThRENI EUN UOML ThBIT UShD UChMS LNGDI UIAI RIB UMDUN IShE ג למה תראני און ועמל תביט ושד וחמס לנגדי ויהי ריב ומדון ישא
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and right does never go forth; for the wicked does beset the righteous; therefore right goes forth perverted. 5 Look you among the nations, and behold, and wonder marvellously; for, behold, a work shall be wrought in your days, which you will not believe though it be told you. 6 For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and impetuous nation, that march through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling-places that are not theirs. 8 Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the wolves of the desert; and their horsemen spread themselves; yes, their horsemen come from far, they fly as a vulture that hastes to devour. 11 Then their spirit does pass over and transgress, and they become guilty: even they who impute their might to their god. IE EZ ChLF RUCh UIOBR UEShM ZU KChU LELAU יא אז חלף רוח ויעבר ואשם זו כחו לאלהו
12 Are not You from everlasting, O IAUA my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O IAUA, You have ordained them for judgment, and You, O Rock, have established them for correction. 13 You that are of eyes too pure to behold evil, and that can not look on mischief, wherefore look You, when they deal treacherously, and hold Your peace, when the wicked swallows up the man that is more righteous than he; IG TAUR OINIM MREUTh RO UABIT EL-OML LE ThUKL LMA ThBIT BUGDIM ThChRISh BBLO RShO TsDIQ MMNU יג טהור עינים מראות רע והביט אל-עמל לא תוכל למה תביט בוגדים תחריש בבלע רשע צדיק ממנו
14 Make men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them? ID UThOShA EDM KDGI AIM KRMSh LE-MShL BU יד ותעשה אדם כדגי הים כרמש לא-משל בו
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag; therefore they rejoice and exult. TU KLA BChKA AOLA IGRAU BChRMU UIESFAU BMKMRThU OL-KN IShMCh UIGIL טו כלה בחכה העלה יגרהו בחרמו ויאספהו במכמרתו על-כן ישמח ויגיל
16 Therefore they sacrifice to their net, and offer to their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their food plenteous. TZ OL-KN IZBCh LChRMU UIQTR LMKMRThU KI BAMA ShMN ChLQU UMEKLU BREA טז על-כן יזבח לחרמו ויקטר למכמרתו כי בהמה שמן חלקו ומאכלו בראה
17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare to slay the nations continually? IZ AOL KN IRIQ ChRMU UThMID LARG GUIM LE IChMUL יז העל כן יריק חרמו ותמיד להרג גוים לא יחמול
