| 2 Put my goblet, the silver goblet, in the sack's mouth of the youngest, and his corn money.' | 9 With whomsoever of your servants it be found, let him die, and we also will be my lord's bondmen.' | T EShR IMTsE EThU MOBDIK UMTh UGM-ENChNU NAIA LEDNI LOBDIM | ט אשר ימצא אתו מעבדיך ומת וגם-אנחנו נהיה לאדני לעבדים | ||

| 14 Judah and his brethren came to Joseph's house, and he was yet there; and they fell before him on the ground. | ID UIBE IAUDA UEChIU BIThA IUSF UAUE OUDNU ShM UIFLU LFNIU ERTsA | יד ויבא יהודה ואחיו ביתה יוסף והוא עודנו שם ויפלו לפניו ארצה | ||

| 16 Judah said: 'What shall we say to my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? | 18 Then Judah came near to him, and said: 'O my lord, let your servant, I pray you, speak a word in my lord's ears, and let not your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Pharaoh. | ICh UIGSh ELIU IAUDA UIEMR BI EDNI IDBR-NE OBDK DBR BEZNI EDNI UEL-IChR EFK BOBDK KI KMUK KFROA | יח ויגש אליו יהודה ויאמר בי אדני ידבר-נא עבדך דבר באזני אדני ואל-יחר אפך בעבדך כי כמוך כפרעה | ||
| 19 My lord asked his servants, saying: Have you a father, or a brother? | IT EDNI ShEL ETh-OBDIU LEMR AISh-LKM EB EU-ECh | יט אדני שאל את-עבדיו לאמר היש-לכם אב או-אח | ||
| 20 We said to my lord: We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loves him. | K UNEMR EL-EDNI ISh-LNU EB ZQN UILD ZQNIM QTN UEChIU MTh UIUThR AUE LBDU LEMU UEBIU EABU | כ ונאמר אל-אדני יש-לנו אב זקן וילד זקנים קטן ואחיו מת ויותר הוא לבדו לאמו ואביו אהבו | ||
| 21 You said to your servants: Bring him down to me, that I may set mine eyes on him. | KE UThEMR EL-OBDIK AURDAU ELI UEShIMA OINI OLIU | כא ותאמר אל-עבדיך הורדהו אלי ואשימה עיני עליו | ||
| 22 We said to my lord: The lad cannot leave his father; for if he should leave his father, his father would die. | KB UNEMR EL-EDNI LE-IUKL ANOR LOZB ETh-EBIU UOZB ETh-EBIU UMTh | כב ונאמר אל-אדני לא-יוכל הנער לעזב את-אביו ועזב את-אביו ומת | ||
| 23 You said to your servants: Except your youngest brother come down with you, you shall see my face no more. | KG UThEMR EL-OBDIK EM-LE IRD EChIKM AQTN EThKM LE ThSFUN LREUTh FNI | כג ותאמר אל-עבדיך אם-לא ירד אחיכם הקטן אתכם לא תספון לראות פני | ||
| 24 It came to pass when we came up to your servant my father, we told him the words of my lord. | KD UIAI KI OLINU EL-OBDK EBI UNGD-LU ETh DBRI EDNI | כד ויהי כי עלינו אל-עבדך אבי ונגד-לו את דברי אדני | ||
| 25 Our father said: Go again, buy us a little food. | KA UIEMR EBINU ShBU ShBRU-LNU MOT-EKL | כה ויאמר אבינו שבו שברו-לנו מעט-אכל | ||
| 26 We said: We cannot go down; if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down; for we may not see the man's face, except our youngest brother be with us. | KU UNEMR LE NUKL LRDTh EM-ISh EChINU AQTN EThNU UIRDNU KI-LE NUKL LREUTh FNI AEISh UEChINU AQTN EINNU EThNU | כו ונאמר לא נוכל לרדת אם-יש אחינו הקטן אתנו וירדנו כי-לא נוכל לראות פני האיש ואחינו הקטן איננו אתנו | ||
| 27 Your servant my father said to us: You know that my wife bore me two sons; | KZ UIEMR OBDK EBI ELINU EThM IDOThM KI ShNIM ILDA-LI EShThI | כז ויאמר עבדך אבי אלינו אתם ידעתם כי שנים ילדה-לי אשתי | ||
| 28 and the one went out from me, and I said: Surely he is torn in pieces; and I have not seen him since; | KCh UITsE AEChD METhI UEMR EK TRF TRF ULE REIThIU OD-ANA | כח ויצא האחד מאתי ואמר אך טרף טרף ולא ראיתיו עד-הנה | ||
| 29 and if you take this one also from me, and harm befall him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave. | KT ULQChThM GM-ETh-ZA MOM FNI UQRAU ESUN UAURDThM ETh-ShIBThI BROA ShELA | כט ולקחתם גם-את-זה מעם פני וקרהו אסון והורדתם את-שיבתי ברעה שאלה | ||
| 30 Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the lad is not with us; seeing that his soul is bound up with the lad's soul; | L UOThA KBEI EL-OBDK EBI UANOR EINNU EThNU UNFShU QShURA BNFShU | ל ועתה כבאי אל-עבדך אבי והנער איננו אתנו ונפשו קשורה בנפשו | ||
