A Bride for Isaac

18 She said: 'Drink, my lord'; and she hastened, and let down her pitcher on her hand, and gave him drink.   ICh UThEMR ShThA EDNI UThMAR UThRD KDA OL-IDA UThShQAU   יח ותאמר שתה אדני ותמהר ותרד כדה על-ידה ותשקהו
19 When she had done giving him drink, she said: 'I will draw for your camels also, until they have done drinking.'   IT UThKL LAShQThU UThEMR GM LGMLIK EShEB OD EM-KLU LShThTh   יט ותכל להשקתו ותאמר גם לגמליך אשאב עד אם-כלו לשתת
20 She hastened, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again to the well to draw, and drew for all his camels.   K UThMAR UThOR KDA EL-AShQTh UThRTs OUD EL-ABER LShEB UThShEB LKL-GMLIU   כ ותמהר ותער כדה אל-השקת ותרץ עוד אל-הבאר לשאב ותשאב לכל-גמליו

22 It came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden ring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;   KB UIAI KEShR KLU AGMLIM LShThUTh UIQCh AEISh NZM ZAB BQO MShQLU UShNI TsMIDIM OL-IDIA OShRA ZAB MShQLM   כב ויהי כאשר כלו הגמלים לשתות ויקח האיש נזם זהב בקע משקלו ושני צמידים על-ידיה עשרה זהב משקלם
23 and said: 'Whose daughter are you? tell me, I pray you. Is there room in your father's house for us to lodge in?'   KG UIEMR BTh-MI ETh AGIDI NE LI AISh BITh-EBIK MQUM LNU LLIN   כג ויאמר בת-מי את הגידי נא לי היש בית-אביך מקום לנו ללין
24 She said to him: 'I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.'   KD UThEMR ELIU BTh-BThUEL ENKI BN-MLKA EShR ILDA LNChUR   כד ותאמר אליו בת-בתואל אנכי בן-מלכה אשר ילדה לנחור
25 She said moreover to him: 'We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.'   KA UThEMR ELIU GM-ThBN GM-MSFUE RB OMNU GM-MQUM LLUN   כה ותאמר אליו גם-תבן גם-מספוא רב עמנו גם-מקום ללון
26 The man bowed his head, and prostrated himself before IAUA.   KU UIQD AEISh UIShThChU LIAUA   כו ויקד האיש וישתחו ליהוה
27 He said: 'Blessed be IAUA, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master; as for me, IAUA has led me in the way to the house of my master's brethren.'   KZ UIEMR BRUK IAUA ELAI EDNI EBRAM EShR LE-OZB ChSDU UEMThU MOM EDNI ENKI BDRK NChNI IAUA BITh EChI EDNI   כז ויאמר ברוך יהוה אלהי אדני אברהם אשר לא-עזב חסדו ואמתו מעם אדני אנכי בדרך נחני יהוה בית אחי אדני
28 The damsel ran, and told her mother's house according to these words.   KCh UThRTs ANOR UThGD LBITh EMA KDBRIM AELA   כח ותרץ הנער ותגד לבית אמה כדברים האלה
29 Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban; and Laban ran out to the man, to the fountain.   KT ULRBQA ECh UShMU LBN UIRTs LBN EL-AEISh AChUTsA EL-AOIN   כט ולרבקה אח ושמו לבן וירץ לבן אל-האיש החוצה אל-העין
30 It came to pass, when he saw the ring, and the bracelets on his sister's hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying: 'Thus spoke the man to me,' that he came to the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the fountain.   L UIAI KRETh ETh-ANZM UETh-ATsMDIM OL-IDI EChThU UKShMOU ETh-DBRI RBQA EChThU LEMR KA-DBR ELI AEISh UIBE EL-AEISh UANA OMD OL-AGMLIM OL-AOIN   ל ויהי כראת את-הנזם ואת-הצמדים על-ידי אחתו וכשמעו את-דברי רבקה אחתו לאמר כה-דבר אלי האיש ויבא אל-האיש והנה עמד על-הגמלים על-העין
31 He said: 'Come in, you blessed of IAUA; wherefore stand you without? for I have cleared the house, and made room for the camels.'   LE UIEMR BUE BRUK IAUA LMA ThOMD BChUTs UENKI FNIThI ABITh UMQUM LGMLIM   לא ויאמר בוא ברוך יהוה למה תעמד בחוץ ואנכי פניתי הבית ומקום לגמלים

37 My master made me swear, saying: You shall not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell.   LZ UIShBONI EDNI LEMR LE-ThQCh EShA LBNI MBNUTh AKNONI EShR ENKI IShB BERTsU   לז וישבעני אדני לאמר לא-תקח אשה לבני מבנות הכנעני אשר אנכי ישב בארצו
38 But you shall go to my father's house, and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son.   LCh EM-LE EL-BITh-EBI ThLK UEL-MShFChThI ULQChTh EShA LBNI   לח אם-לא אל-בית-אבי תלך ואל-משפחתי ולקחת אשה לבני

40 He said to me: IAUA, before whom I walk, will send His angel with you, and prosper your way; and you shall take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house;   M UIEMR ELI IAUA EShR-AThALKThI LFNIU IShLCh MLEKU EThK UATsLICh DRKK ULQChTh EShA LBNI MMShFChThI UMBITh EBI   מ ויאמר אלי יהוה אשר-התהלכתי לפניו ישלח מלאכו אתך והצליח דרכך ולקחת אשה לבני ממשפחתי ומבית אבי
41 then shall you be clear from my oath, when you come to my kindred; and if they give her not to you, you shall be clear from my oath.   ME EZ ThNQA MELThI KI ThBUE EL-MShFChThI UEM-LE IThNU LK UAIITh NQI MELThI   מא אז תנקה מאלתי כי תבוא אל-משפחתי ואם-לא יתנו לך והיית נקי מאלתי
42 I came this day to the fountain, and said: O IAUA, the God of my master Abraham, if now You do prosper my way which I go:   MB UEBE AIUM EL-AOIN UEMR IAUA ELAI EDNI EBRAM EM-IShK-NE MTsLICh DRKI EShR ENKI ALK OLIA   מב ואבא היום אל-העין ואמר יהוה אלהי אדני אברהם אם-ישך-נא מצליח דרכי אשר אנכי הלך עליה
43 behold, I stand by the fountain of water; and let it come to pass, that the maiden that comes forth to draw, to whom I shall say: Give me, I pray you, a little water from your pitcher to drink;   MG ANA ENKI NTsB OL-OIN AMIM UAIA AOLMA AITsETh LShEB UEMRThI ELIA AShQINI-NE MOT-MIM MKDK   מג הנה אנכי נצב על-עין המים והיה העלמה היצאת לשאב ואמרתי אליה השקיני-נא מעט-מים מכדך
44 and she shall say to me: Both drink you, and I will also draw for your camels; let the same be the woman whom IAUA has appointed for my master's son.   MD UEMRA ELI GM-EThA ShThA UGM LGMLIK EShEB AUE AEShA EShR-AKICh IAUA LBN-EDNI   מד ואמרה אלי גם-אתה שתה וגם לגמליך אשאב הוא האשה אשר-הכיח יהוה לבן-אדני
45 Before I had done speaking to my heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down to the fountain, and drew. 46 She made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said: Drink, and I will give your camels drink also. 47 I asked her, and said: Whose daughter are you? She said: The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him. 48 I bowed my head, and prostrated myself before IAUA, and blessed IAUA, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the right way to take my master's brother's daughter for his son.   MCh UEQD UEShThChUA LIAUA UEBRK ETh-IAUA ELAI EDNI EBRAM EShR ANChNI BDRK EMTh LQChTh ETh-BTh-EChI EDNI LBNU   מח ואקד ואשתחוה ליהוה ואברך את-יהוה אלהי אדני אברהם אשר הנחני בדרך אמת לקחת את-בת-אחי אדני לבנו
49 Now if you will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me; and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left.'   MT UOThA EM-IShKM OShIM ChSD UEMTh ETh-EDNI AGIDU LI UEM-LE AGIDU LI UEFNA OL-IMIN EU OL-ShMEL   מט ועתה אם-ישכם עשים חסד ואמת את-אדני הגידו לי ואם-לא הגידו לי ואפנה על-ימין או על-שמאל
50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said: 'The thing proceeds from IAUA; we cannot speak to you bad or good.   N UION LBN UBThUEL UIEMRU MIAUA ITsE ADBR LE NUKL DBR ELIK RO EU-TUB   נ ויען לבן ובתואל ויאמרו מיהוה יצא הדבר לא נוכל דבר אליך רע או-טוב
51 Behold, Rebekah is before you, take her, and go, and let her be your master's son's wife, as IAUA has spoken.'   NE ANA-RBQA LFNIK QCh ULK UThAI EShA LBN-EDNIK KEShR DBR IAUA   נא הנה-רבקה לפניך קח ולך ותהי אשה לבן-אדניך כאשר דבר יהוה
52 It came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he bowed himself down to the earth to IAUA.   NB UIAI KEShR ShMO OBD EBRAM ETh-DBRIAM UIShThChU ERTsA LIAUA   נב ויהי כאשר שמע עבד אברהם את-דבריהם וישתחו ארצה ליהוה
53 The servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah; he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.   NG UIUTsE AOBD KLI-KSF UKLI ZAB UBGDIM UIThN LRBQA UMGDNTh NThN LEChIA ULEMA   נג ויוצא העבד כלי-כסף וכלי זהב ובגדים ויתן לרבקה ומגדנת נתן לאחיה ולאמה

57 They said: 'We will call the damsel, and inquire at her mouth.'   NZ UIEMRU NQRE LNOR UNShELA ETh-FIA   נז ויאמרו נקרא לנער ונשאלה את-פיה
58 They called Rebekah, and said to her: 'Will you go with this man?' She said: 'I will go.'   NCh UIQREU LRBQA UIEMRU ELIA AThLKI OM-AEISh AZA UThEMR ELK   נח ויקראו לרבקה ויאמרו אליה התלכי עם-האיש הזה ותאמר אלך
59 They sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.   NT UIShLChU ETh-RBQA EChThM UETh-MNQThA UETh-OBD EBRAM UETh-ENShIU   נט וישלחו את-רבקה אחתם ואת-מנקתה ואת-עבד אברהם ואת-אנשיו
