1 You also, son of man, take you a tile, and lay it before you, and trace upon it a city, even Jerusalem; E UEThA BN EDM QCh LK LBNA UNThThA EUThA LFNIK UChQUTh OLIA OIR ETh IRUShLM א ואתה בן אדם קח לך לבנה ונתתה אותה לפניך וחקות עליה עיר את ירושלם
2 and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and set battering rams against it round about. 3 Take you unto you an iron griddle, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city; and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. 4 Moreover lie you upon your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it; according to the number of the days that you shall lie upon it, you shall bear their iniquity. 5 For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be unto you a number of days, even three hundred and ninety days; so shall you bear the iniquity of the house of Israel. 6 Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah; forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it unto you. 7 You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it. Z UEL MTsUR IRUShLM ThKIN FNIK UZROK ChShUFA UNBETh OLIA ז ואל מצור ירושלם תכין פניך וזרעך חשופה ונבאת עליה
8 And, behold, I lay bands upon you, and you shall not turn you from one side to another, till you have accomplished the days of your siege. Ch UANA NThThI OLIK OBUThIM ULE ThAFK MTsDK EL TsDK OD KLUThK IMI MTsURK ח והנה נתתי עליך עבותים ולא תהפך מצדך אל צדך עד כלותך ימי מצורך
9 Take you also unto you wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make you bread thereof; according to the number of the days that you shall lie upon your side, even three hundred and ninety days, shall you eat thereof. T UEThA QCh LK ChTIN UShORIM UFUL UODShIM UDChN UKSMIM UNThThA EUThM BKLI EChD UOShITh EUThM LK LLChM MSFR AIMIM EShR EThA ShUKB OL TsDK ShLSh MEUTh UThShOIM IUM ThEKLNU ט ואתה קח לך חטין ושערים ופול ועדשים ודחן וכסמים ונתתה אותם בכלי אחד ועשית אותם לך ללחם מספר הימים אשר אתה שוכב על צדך שלש מאות ותשעים יום תאכלנו
10 Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day; from time to time shall you eat it. I UMEKLK EShR ThEKLNU BMShQUL OShRIM ShQL LIUM MOTh OD OTh ThEKLNU י ומאכלך אשר תאכלנו במשקול עשרים שקל ליום מעת עד עת תאכלנו
11 You shall drink also water by measure, the sixth part of a hin; from time to time shall you drink. IE UMIM BMShURA ThShThA ShShITh AAIN MOTh OD OTh ThShThA יא ומים במשורה תשתה ששית ההין מעת עד עת תשתה
12 You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.' {S} IB UOGTh ShORIM ThEKLNA UAIE BGLLI TsETh AEDM ThOGNA LOINIAM {S} יב ועגת שערים תאכלנה והיא בגללי צאת האדם תעגנה לעיניהם {ס}
13 IAUA said: 'Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations whither I will drive them.' IG UIEMR IAUA KKA IEKLU BNI IShREL ETh LChMM TME BGUIM EShR EDIChM ShM יג ויאמר יהוה ככה יאכלו בני ישראל את לחמם טמא בגוים אשר אדיחם שם
14 Then said I: 'Ah my Lord IAUA! behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of beasts; neither came there abhorred flesh into my mouth.' {S} ID UEMR EAA EDNI IAUA ANA NFShI LE MTMEA UNBLA UTRFA LE EKLThI MNOURI UOD OThA ULE BE BFI BShR FGUL {S} יד ואמר אהה אדני יהוה הנה נפשי לא מטמאה ונבלה וטרפה לא אכלתי מנעורי ועד עתה ולא בא בפי בשר פגול {ס}
15 Then He said unto me: 'See, I have given you cow's dung for man's dung, and you shall prepare your bread thereon.' {S} TU UIEMR ELI REA NThThI LK ETh TsFUOI (TsFIOI) ABQR ThChTh GLLI AEDM UOShITh ETh LChMK OLIAM {S} טו ויאמר אלי ראה נתתי לך את צפועי (צפיעי) הבקר תחת גללי האדם ועשית את לחמך עליהם {ס}
16 Moreover He said unto me: 'Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxiety; and they shall drink water by measure, and in appalment; TZ UIEMR ELI BN EDM ANNI ShBR MTA LChM BIRUShLM UEKLU LChM BMShQL UBDEGA UMIM BMShURA UBShMMUN IShThU טז ויאמר אלי בן אדם הנני שבר מטה לחם בירושלם ואכלו לחם במשקל ובדאגה ומים במשורה ובשממון ישתו
