2 So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that roll. B UEFThCh ETh FI UIEKILNI ETh AMGLA AZETh ב ואפתח את פי ויאכילני את המגלה הזאת
3 He said unto me: 'Son of man, cause your belly to eat, and fill your bowels with this roll that I give you.' 4 He said unto me: 'Son of man, go, get you unto the house of Israel, and speak with My words unto them. D UIEMR ELI BN EDM LK BE EL BITh IShREL UDBRTh BDBRI ELIAM ד ויאמר אלי בן אדם לך בא אל בית ישראל ודברת בדברי אליהם
5 For you are not sent to a people of an unintelligible speech and of a slow tongue, but to the house of Israel; A KI LE EL OM OMQI ShFA UKBDI LShUN EThA ShLUCh EL BITh IShREL ה כי לא אל עם עמקי שפה וכבדי לשון אתה שלוח אל בית ישראל
6 not to many peoples of an unintelligible speech and of a slow tongue, whose words you can not understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would hearken unto you. 7 But the house of Israel will not consent to hearken unto you; for they consent not to hearken unto Me; for all the house of Israel are of a hard forehead and of a stiff heart. 9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made your forehead; fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.' {P} T KShMIR ChZQ MTsR NThThI MTsChK LE ThIRE EUThM ULE ThChTh MFNIAM KI BITh MRI AMA {F} ט כשמיר חזק מצר נתתי מצחך לא תירא אותם ולא תחת מפניהם כי בית מרי המה {פ}
10 Moreover He said unto me: 'Son of man, all My words that I shall speak unto you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears. I UIEMR ELI BN EDM ETh KL DBRI EShR EDBR ELIK QCh BLBBK UBEZNIK ShMO י ויאמר אלי בן אדם את כל דברי אשר אדבר אליך קח בלבבך ובאזניך שמע
11 Go, get you to them of the captivity, unto the children of your people, and speak unto them, and tell them: Thus says my Lord IAUA, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.' 12 Then a spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great rushing: 'Blessed be the glory of IAUA from His place'; IB UThShENI RUCh UEShMO EChRI QUL ROSh GDUL BRUK KBUD IAUA MMQUMU יב ותשאני רוח ואשמע אחרי קול רעש גדול ברוך כבוד יהוה ממקומו
13 also the noise of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, even the noise of a great rushing. IG UQUL KNFI AChIUTh MShIQUTh EShA EL EChUThA UQUL AEUFNIM LOMThM UQUL ROSh GDUL יג וקול כנפי החיות משיקות אשה אל אחותה וקול האופנים לעמתם וקול רעש גדול
14 So a spirit lifted me up, and took me away; and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of IAUA was strong upon me. ID URUCh NShEThNI UThQChNI UELK MR BChMTh RUChI UID IAUA OLI ChZQA יד ורוח נשאתני ותקחני ואלך מר בחמת רוחי ויד יהוה עלי חזקה
15 Then I came to them of the captivity at Tel-abib, that dwelt by the river Chebar, and I sat where they sat; and I remained there appalled among them seven days. 16 It came to pass at the end of seven days, {P} that the word of IAUA came unto me, saying: TZ UIAI MQTsA ShBOTh IMIM {F} UIAI DBR IAUA ELI LEMR טז ויהי מקצה שבעת ימים {פ} ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
17 'Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman unto the house of Israel; and when you shall hear a word at My mouth, you shall give them warning from Me. IZ BN EDM TsFA NThThIK LBITh IShREL UShMOTh MFI DBR UAZARTh EUThM MMNI יז בן אדם צפה נתתיך לבית ישראל ושמעת מפי דבר והזהרת אותם ממני
18 When I say unto the wicked: You shall surely die; and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand. 19 Yet if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul. IT UEThA KI AZARTh RShO ULE ShB MRShOU UMDRKU ARShOA AUE BOUNU IMUTh UEThA ETh NFShK ATsLTh יט ואתה כי הזהרת רשע ולא שב מרשעו ומדרכו הרשעה הוא בעונו ימות ואתה את נפשך הצלת
20 Again, when a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, I will lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die; because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at your hand. 21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.' {P} KE UEThA KI AZARThU TsDIQ LBLThI ChTE TsDIQ UAUE LE ChTE ChIU IChIA KI NZAR UEThA ETh NFShK ATsLTh {F} כא ואתה כי הזהרתו צדיק לבלתי חטא צדיק והוא לא חטא חיו יחיה כי נזהר ואתה את נפשך הצלת {פ}
22 The hand of IAUA came there upon me; and He said unto me: 'Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there speak with you.' KB UThAI OLI ShM ID IAUA UIEMR ELI QUM TsE EL ABQOA UShM EDBR EUThK כב ותהי עלי שם יד יהוה ויאמר אלי קום צא אל הבקעה ושם אדבר אותך
23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain; and, behold, the glory of IAUA stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face. 24 Then spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet; and He spoke with me, and said unto me: 'Go, shut yourself within your house. KD UThBE BI RUCh UThOMDNI OL RGLI UIDBR EThI UIEMR ELI BE ASGR BThUK BIThK כד ותבא בי רוח ותעמדני על רגלי וידבר אתי ויאמר אלי בא הסגר בתוך ביתך
25 But you, son of man, behold, bands shall be put upon you, and you shall be bound with them, and you shall not go out among them; KA UEThA BN EDM ANA NThNU OLIK OBUThIM UESRUK BAM ULE ThTsE BThUKM כה ואתה בן אדם הנה נתנו עליך עבותים ואסרוך בהם ולא תצא בתוכם
26 and I will make your tongue cleave to the roof of your mouth, that you shall be dumb, and shall not be to them a reprover; for they are a rebellious house.
