Jerusalem like a Useless Vine | ||||

| 2 'Son of man, what is the vine-tree more than any tree, the vine branch which grew up among the trees of the forest? | B BN-EDM MA-IAIA OTs-AGFN MKL-OTs AZMURA EShR AIA BOTsI AIOR | ב בן-אדם מה-יהיה עץ-הגפן מכל-עץ הזמורה אשר היה בעצי היער | ||
| 3 Shall wood be taken thereof to make any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon? | G AIQCh MMNU OTs LOShUTh LMLEKA EM-IQChU MMNU IThD LThLUTh OLIU KL-KLI | ג היקח ממנו עץ לעשות למלאכה אם-יקחו ממנו יתד לתלות עליו כל-כלי | ||
| 4 Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both the ends of it, and the middle of it is singed; is it profitable for any work? | D ANA LESh NThN LEKLA ETh ShNI QTsUThIU EKLA AESh UThUKU NChR AITsLCh LMLEKA | ד הנה לאש נתן לאכלה את שני קצותיו אכלה האש ותוכו נחר היצלח למלאכה | ||

| 6 Therefore thus says my Lord IAUA, As the vine-tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so do I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem. | U LKN KA EMR EDNI IAUA KEShR OTs-AGFN BOTs AIOR EShR-NThThIU LESh LEKLA KN NThThI ETh-IShBI IRUShLM | ו לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה כאשר עץ-הגפן בעץ היער אשר-נתתיו לאש לאכלה כן נתתי את-ישבי ירושלם | ||
