1 You shall not sacrifice to IAUA your God an ox, or a sheep, wherein is a blemish, even any evil thing; for that is an abomination to IAUA your God. 2 If there be found in the middle of you, within any of your gates which IAUA your God gives you, man or woman, that does that which is evil in the sight of IAUA your God, in transgressing His covenant, B KI-IMTsE BQRBK BEChD ShORIK EShR-IAUA ELAIK NThN LK EISh EU-EShA EShR IOShA ETh-ARO BOINI IAUA-ELAIK LOBR BRIThU ב כי-ימצא בקרבך באחד שעריך אשר-יהוה אלהיך נתן לך איש או-אשה אשר יעשה את-הרע בעיני יהוה-אלהיך לעבר בריתו
3 and has gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have commanded not; G UILK UIOBD ELAIM EChRIM UIShThChU LAM ULShMSh EU LIRCh EU LKL-TsBE AShMIM EShR LE-TsUIThI ג וילך ויעבד אלהים אחרים וישתחו להם ולשמש או לירח או לכל-צבא השמים אשר לא-צויתי
4 and it be told you, and you hear it, then shall you inquire diligently, and, behold, if it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; D UAGD-LK UShMOTh UDRShTh AITB UANA EMTh NKUN ADBR NOShThA AThUOBA AZETh BIShREL ד והגד-לך ושמעת ודרשת היטב והנה אמת נכון הדבר נעשתה התועבה הזאת בישראל
5 then shall you bring forth that man or that woman, who have done this evil thing, to your gates, even the man or the woman; and you shall stone them with stones, that they die. 6 At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is to die be put to death; at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death. U OL-FI ShNIM ODIM EU ShLShA ODIM IUMTh AMTh LE IUMTh OL-FI OD EChD ו על-פי שנים עדים או שלשה עדים יומת המת לא יומת על-פי עד אחד
7 The hand of the witnesses shall be first on him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall put away the evil from the middle of you. 8 If there arise a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, even matters of controversy within your gates; then shall you arise, and get you up to the place which IAUA your God shall choose. 9 You shall come to the priests the Levites, and to the judge that shall be in those days; and you shall inquire; and they shall declare to you the sentence of judgment. T UBETh EL-AKANIM ALUIM UEL-AShFT EShR IAIA BIMIM AAM UDRShTh UAGIDU LK ETh DBR AMShFT ט ובאת אל-הכהנים הלוים ואל-השפט אשר יהיה בימים ההם ודרשת והגידו לך את דבר המשפט
10 You shall do according to the tenor of the sentence, which they shall declare to you from that place which IAUA shall choose; and you shall observe to do according to all that they shall teach you. I UOShITh OL-FI ADBR EShR IGIDU LK MN-AMQUM AAUE EShR IBChR IAUA UShMRTh LOShUTh KKL EShR IURUK י ועשית על-פי הדבר אשר יגידו לך מן-המקום ההוא אשר יבחר יהוה ושמרת לעשות ככל אשר יורוך
11 According to the law which they shall teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside from the sentence which they shall declare to you, to the right hand, nor to the left. IE OL-FI AThURA EShR IURUK UOL-AMShFT EShR-IEMRU LK ThOShA LE ThSUR MN-ADBR EShR-IGIDU LK IMIN UShMEL יא על-פי התורה אשר יורוך ועל-המשפט אשר-יאמרו לך תעשה לא תסור מן-הדבר אשר-יגידו לך ימין ושמאל
12 The man that does presumptuously, in not hearkening to the priest that stands to minister there before IAUA your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die; and you shall exterminate the evil from Israel. 13 All the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously. IG UKL-AOM IShMOU UIREU ULE IZIDUN OUD יג וכל-העם ישמעו ויראו ולא יזידון עוד
14 When you are come to the land which IAUA your God gives you, and shall possess it, and shall dwell therein; and shall say: 'I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are round about me'; ID KI-ThBE EL-AERTs EShR IAUA ELAIK NThN LK UIRShThA UIShBThA BA UEMRTh EShIMA OLI MLK KKL-AGUIM EShR SBIBThI יד כי-תבא אל-הארץ אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך וירשתה וישבתה בה ואמרת אשימה עלי מלך ככל-הגוים אשר סביבתי
15 you shall in any wise set him king over you, whom IAUA your God shall choose; one from among your brethren shall you set king over you; you may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother. 16 Only he shall not increase horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should increase horses; forasmuch as IAUA has said to you: 'You shall henceforth return no more that way.' 17 Neither shall he increase wives to himself, that his heart turn not away; neither shall he greatly increase to himself silver and gold. IZ ULE IRBA-LU NShIM ULE ISUR LBBU UKSF UZAB LE IRBA-LU MED יז ולא ירבה-לו נשים ולא יסור לבבו וכסף וזהב לא ירבה-לו מאד
18 It shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book, out of that which is before the priests the Levites. ICh UAIA KShBThU OL KSE MMLKThU UKThB LU ETh-MShNA AThURA AZETh OL-SFR MLFNI AKANIM ALUIM יח והיה כשבתו על כסא ממלכתו וכתב לו את-משנה התורה הזאת על-ספר מלפני הכהנים הלוים
19 It shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life; that he may learn to fear IAUA his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them; IT UAIThA OMU UQRE BU KL-IMI ChIIU LMON ILMD LIREA ETh-IAUA ELAIU LShMR ETh-KL-DBRI AThURA AZETh UETh-AChQIM AELA LOShThM יט והיתה עמו וקרא בו כל-ימי חייו למען ילמד ליראה את-יהוה אלהיו לשמר את-כל-דברי התורה הזאת ואת-החקים האלה לעשתם
20 that his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left; to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his children, in the middle of Israel.
