The King's Forgotten Dream | ||||

| 2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the enchanters, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, to tell the king his dreams. | 8 The king answered and said: 'I know of a truth that you would gain time, inasmuch as you see the thing is certain with me, | Ch ONA MLKE UEMR MN-ITsIB IDO ENA DI ODNE ENThUN ZBNIN KL-QBL DI ChZIThUN DI EZDE MNI MLThE | ח ענה מלכא ואמר מן-יציב ידע אנה די עדנא אנתון זבנין כל-קבל די חזיתון די אזדא מני מלתא | ||

| 15 he answered and said to Arioch the king's captain: 'Wherefore is the decree so peremptory from the king?' | 21 He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings, and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding; | KE UAUE MAShNE ODNIE UZMNIE MAODA MLKIN UMAQIM MLKIN IAB ChKMThE LChKIMIN UMNDOE LIDOI BINA | כא והוא מהשנא עדניא וזמניא מהעדה מלכין ומהקים מלכין יהב חכמתא לחכימין ומנדעא לידעי בינה | ||
| 22 He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him. | KB AUE GLE OMIQThE UMSThRThE IDO MA BChShUKE UNAIRE (UNAURE) OMA ShRE | כב הוא גלא עמיקתא ומסתרתא ידע מה בחשוכא ונהירא (ונהורא) עמה שרא | ||

| 26 The king spoke and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar: 'Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof?' | KU ONA MLKE UEMR LDNIEL DI ShMA BLTShETsR AEIThIK (AEIThK) KAL LAUDOThNI ChLME DI-ChZITh UFShRA | כו ענה מלכא ואמר לדניאל די שמה בלטשאצר האיתיך (האיתך) כהל להודעתני חלמא די-חזית ופשרה | ||
| 27 Daniel answered before the king, and said: 'The secret which the king has asked can neither wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor astrologers, declare to the king; | KZ ONA DNIEL QDM MLKE UEMR RZE DI-MLKE ShEL LE ChKIMIN EShFIN ChRTMIN GZRIN IKLIN LAChUIA LMLKE | כז ענה דניאל קדם מלכא ואמר רזא די-מלכא שאל לא חכימין אשפין חרטמין גזרין יכלין להחויה למלכא | ||
| 28 but there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and He has made known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the end of days. | 31 You, O king, saw, and behold a great image.
