Visit of the Queen of Sheba | ||||
| 1 When the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to prove Solomon with hard questions at Jerusalem, with a very great train, and camels that bore spices and gold in abundance, and precious stones; and when she was come to Solomon, she spoke with him of all that was in her heart. | E UMLKTh-ShBE ShMOA ETh-ShMO ShLMA UThBUE LNSUTh ETh-ShLMA BChIDUTh BIRUShLM BChIL KBD MED UGMLIM NShEIM BShMIM UZAB LRB UEBN IQRA UThBUE EL-ShLMA UThDBR OMU ETh KL-EShR AIA OM-LBBA | א ומלכת-שבא שמעה את-שמע שלמה ותבוא לנסות את-שלמה בחידות בירושלם בחיל כבד מאד וגמלים נשאים בשמים וזהב לרב ואבן יקרה ותבוא אל-שלמה ותדבר עמו את כל-אשר היה עם-לבבה | ||

| 3 When the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he had built, | G UThRE MLKTh-ShBE ETh ChKMTh ShLMA UABITh EShR BNA | ג ותרא מלכת-שבא את חכמת שלמה והבית אשר בנה | ||

| 5 She said to the king: 'It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of your acts, and of your wisdom. | A UThEMR EL-AMLK EMTh ADBR EShR ShMOThI BERTsI OL-DBRIK UOL-ChKMThK | ה ותאמר אל-המלך אמת הדבר אשר שמעתי בארצי על-דבריך ועל-חכמתך | ||
| 6 Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it; and, behold, the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me; you exceeds the fame that I heard. | U ULE-AEMNThI LDBRIAM OD EShR-BEThI UThREINA OINI UANA LE AGD-LI ChTsI MRBITh ChKMThK ISFTh OL-AShMUOA EShR ShMOThI | ו ולא-האמנתי לדבריהם עד אשר-באתי ותראינה עיני והנה לא הגד-לי חצי מרבית חכמתך יספת על-השמועה אשר שמעתי | ||
| 7 Happy are your men, and happy are these your servants, that stand continually before you, and hear your wisdom. | Z EShRI ENShIK UEShRI OBDIK ELA AOMDIM LFNIK ThMID UShMOIM ETh-ChKMThK | ז אשרי אנשיך ואשרי עבדיך אלה העמדים לפניך תמיד ושמעים את-חכמתך | ||

| 10 The servants also of Huram, and the servants of Solomon that brought gold from Ophir, brought sandal-wood and precious stones. | I UGM-OBDI ChIRM (ChURM) UOBDI ShLMA EShR-ABIEU ZAB MEUFIR ABIEU OTsI ELGUMIM UEBN IQRA | י וגם-עבדי חירם (חורם) ועבדי שלמה אשר-הביאו זהב מאופיר הביאו עצי אלגומים ואבן יקרה | ||

| 12 King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which she had brought to the king. | 17 Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold. | IZ UIOSh AMLK KSE-ShN GDUL UITsFAU ZAB TAUR | יז ויעש המלך כסא-שן גדול ויצפהו זהב טהור | ||
| 18 There were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and arms on either side by the place of the seat, and two lions standing beside the arms. | ICh UShSh MOLUTh LKSE UKBSh BZAB LKSE MEChZIM UIDUTh MZA UMZA OL-MQUM AShBTh UShNIM ERIUTh OMDIM ETsL AIDUTh | יח ושש מעלות לכסא וכבש בזהב לכסא מאחזים וידות מזה ומזה על-מקום השבת ושנים אריות עמדים אצל הידות | ||

| 23 All the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. | KG UKL MLKI AERTs MBQShIM ETh-FNI ShLMA LShMO ETh-ChKMThU EShR-NThN AELAIM BLBU | כג וכל מלכי הארץ מבקשים את-פני שלמה לשמע את-חכמתו אשר-נתן האלהים בלבו | ||
