| 2 After a lapse of years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. | 3 Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: 'Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?' | 5 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them: 'Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?' | 7 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat: 'There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of IAUA; but I hate him; for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil; the same is Micaiah the son of Imla.' | 10 Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said: 'Thus says IAUA: With these shall you gore the Arameans, until they be consumed.' | I UIOSh LU TsDQIAU BN-KNONA QRNI BRZL UIEMR KA-EMR IAUA BELA ThNGCh ETh-ERM OD-KLUThM | י ויעש לו צדקיהו בן-כנענה קרני ברזל ויאמר כה-אמר יהוה באלה תנגח את-ארם עד-כלותם | ||
| 11 All the prophets prophesied so, saying: 'Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for IAUA will deliver it into the hand of the king.' | IE UKL-ANBEIM NBEIM KN LEMR OLA RMTh GLOD UATsLCh UNThN IAUA BID AMLK | יא וכל-הנבאים נבאים כן לאמר עלה רמת גלעד והצלח ונתן יהוה ביד המלך | ||

| 14 When he was come to the king, the king said to him: 'Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?' | 17 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat: 'Did I not tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?' | IZ UIEMR MLK-IShREL EL-IAUShFT ALE EMRThI ELIK LE-IThNBE OLI TUB KI EM-LRO | יז ויאמר מלך-ישראל אל-יהושפט הלא אמרתי אליך לא-יתנבא עלי טוב כי אם-לרע | ||
| 18 He said: 'Therefore hear you the word of IAUA: I saw IAUA sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and on His left. | ICh UIEMR LKN ShMOU DBR-IAUA REIThI ETh-IAUA IUShB OL-KSEU UKL-TsBE AShMIM OMDIM OL-IMINU UShMELU | יח ויאמר לכן שמעו דבר-יהוה ראיתי את-יהוה יושב על-כסאו וכל-צבא השמים עמדים על-ימינו ושמאלו | ||
| 19 IAUA said: who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? | 20 There came forth the spirit, and stood before IAUA, and said: I will entice him. IAUA said to him: Wherewith? | K UITsE ARUCh UIOMD LFNI IAUA UIEMR ENI EFThNU UIEMR IAUA ELIU BMA | כ ויצא הרוח ויעמד לפני יהוה ויאמר אני אפתנו ויאמר יהוה אליו במה | ||
| 21 He said: I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. | 23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said: 'Which way went the spirit of IAUA from me to speak to you?' | KG UIGSh TsDQIAU BN-KNONA UIK ETh-MIKIAU OL-ALChI UIEMR EI ZA ADRK OBR RUCh-IAUA METhI LDBR EThK | כג ויגש צדקיהו בן-כנענה ויך את-מיכיהו על-הלחי ויאמר אי זה הדרך עבר רוח-יהוה מאתי לדבר אתך | ||
| 24 Micaiah said: 'Behold, you shall see on that day, when you shall go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.' | KD UIEMR MIKIAU ANK REA BIUM AAUE EShR ThBUE ChDR BChDR LAChBE | כד ויאמר מיכיהו הנך ראה ביום ההוא אשר תבוא חדר בחדר להחבא | ||
| 25 The king of Israel said: 'Take you Micaiah; and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son; | KA UIEMR MLK IShREL QChU ETh-MIKIAU UAShIBAU EL-EMUN ShR-AOIR UEL-IUESh BN-AMLK | כה ויאמר מלך ישראל קחו את-מיכיהו והשיבהו אל-אמון שר-העיר ואל-יואש בן-המלך | ||
| 26 and say: Thus says the king: Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with scant bread and with scant water, until I return in peace.' | KU UEMRThM KA EMR AMLK ShIMU ZA BITh AKLE UAEKLAU LChM LChTs UMIM LChTs OD ShUBI BShLUM | כו ואמרתם כה אמר המלך שימו זה בית הכלא והאכלהו לחם לחץ ומים לחץ עד שובי בשלום | ||

| 29 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat: 'I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but put you on your robes.' | 31 It came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said: 'It is the king of Israel.'
